Do most companies here do drug tests when your doing a medical?

Looking for a job soon, but wanted to know if they check for drugs during the medical? e.g. American Multinationals, Irish owned companies? If the answer is yes, how long does it take to get the C out of your system?

Unless you are driving heavy machinery or in a sensitive job, you likely won't be tested. (I work in the US school system and have yet to be tested.) For most folks, it takes 20 to 30 days for cannabis to get out of your system- a few folks can have it for up to 45 days. Drink lots of liquids, take "B" vitamins and exercize. Good luck! :dance:

A friend of mine was going for a banking job with an American company in Drogheda and he had to do a drug test when he (nearly) started working for them. He gave up smoking for over a month (even over xmas!) and then said 'screw this, i dont wanna work there' and started puffin again! Fair play to him :)

He took a home drug test after 3 or 4 weeks and he wasnt clear. You can get em in Chemists i believe, might be worth checking out.
