Spotting: Most retarded way of using weed ever?
(Note: I??ve also heard this called Hot-Knifing)
For the first two years after I started smoking marijuana I thought spotting was an urban-myth then one day a friend of mine introduced me to it.
Using two kitchen knives and his mothers stove. We managed to burn the hell out of both my hands and my throat before I gave up and went home.
Fast-forward ten years of smoking and vaporizing to last week. When a man I just met offered me a ??spot.? I declined and choose instead to smoke out of an injected cigarette blank.
Is there any more dangerous, more impractical, more socially unacceptable way of smoking? It reminds me of cokeheads freebaseing. (Those of you who grew up after crack was invented may not have heard of freebaseing but it was what caused a lot of fires in the late 70??s)
If I am missing something here please correct me.

It's a way to get massive hits using very small amounts of cheeba. Sorry you didn't do it right, because when done right, it works very well.

Yeah thats more what it's for. Weed can be smoked like that of course, but who would go through that shit just to smoke weed that could be put in a nice blunt.

yah, it actually gets you quite fucked up, me, the most welfare way ive ever smoked weed is by actually dropping weed onto a lit cigarette lighter nd stirring it around, worked.

knifing never works well for me with bud, you gotta konw what you're doing before you do it, otherwise you're going to end up fumbling around with the bud til the knives are almost too cool to produce the smoke, and by then, it's just wasted bud, because i'll be damned if you're going to get half burnt/toasty bud to stick on those knives....
it works alot better for resin, hash, oil, w/e.. because those things stick VERY well to the blade and there's no juggling act, just touch and smash... i like knifing because the hits it gives sometimes are ridiculous and just wreck the shit out of you... but for the most part, it's not worth the effort... when there's so many more laid back, easy, STONER FRIENDLY methods of smoking weed, even some that rival hit/conservation of knifing, gravity bongs being one of them...
