Getting rid of some Fan leaves??? Yay/Nay?

I've posted on other threads, but I wanted this to get attention...

Can I prune some of these fan leaves that are covering bud sections?

If so, how many, and what is a good strategy?!

alot of people will tell you not to cut leaves but i do it and have had no problems.i don't do it alot but sometimes they just have to go.just don't do many at once or you could stress it pretty bad

and your plants look really good why do you want to trim leaves?only do it if they are blocking light from a budsite and you can't tuck them.i am pretty new to indoor but i have had no pros thus far

Also, just because the bud itself may not directly get light doesn't mean the fan leaves are hurting anything. The fan leaves themselves absorb light energy, then the plant decides what to do with it, and sometimes that means putting that energy into the buds...even though the buds may not directly be getting hit with the light. Plus, as time goes on, those fan leaves are storage bunkers of nutrients which the plant will cannibalize as needed as flowering progresses.

That said, I'll usually remove a few leaves if they're really pissing me off with their placement, but I try to keep that to a minimum and let the plant do what the plant knows best how to do: grow and produce buds.

If I am going to cut the fan blad, do I do it close to the node and at any sort of angle?

i just cut as close to the stem as possible-no angle
