Thinking of transplant

Hey my plant is in a not bad size pot, the plant isnt quite double the hight of the pot so its not that bad. Few thing i need to know before, How do i transplant cos ive had the worst experience ever. I call this my first grow but i grew at a m8s house, we bought a light for some guy for a 10er think it was a MH and i didnt know too much. Bugs came and although i wasnt sure if they were doing anything there were thousands, so we changed pots, however i stupidly tiped it upside down and tapped softly, it all fell out and i had a fist size clump of roots left, 2 weeks before harvist :( think we got like 10g off it lol.
Also, my plant is flowering (early) is it ok to do it now or will it be fine in the pot its in (around 8-10" high and at the bottom its around 6 coning up to around 8")

it should be fine to trans plant if your still in a veg light cycle and i squeez my pots around the sides and make sure your soil is damp it will hold together better
