hi reemer in answer to your Q if you harvest your buds to early it will lack in potancy it's better to wait
also the best way to determin when to harvest is to check the tricromes with a 30 power microscope when 50% of the tris's are clowdy then harvest this is the best way to get the best potancy
good luck-smokes

the best way to no reemer is when the pistiles are three quarters brown on the hole plant.
that will also be the best time to smoke it.:rastasmoke:

Ow my head hurts
When the pistils are 90% brown that's a good start... then you get out your magnifying glass and look at thh trichs... they should be almost all coudy, maybe just a few going to amber... the more amber, the more couchlock, but remember the THC is degrading in those trichs so you really want to catch them while they are still cloudy.

The colors of the hairs are only part of the cycle of the plants life. They change color by temperature and maturity at the end of their life cycle. The only true way to know when to harvest is to view the Trichomes with a 10x to 30x microscope. Mature Trichomes looks like a golf ball sitting on golf tee, big and round on the top. The color is clear to cloudy. Cloudy is peak for those Trichomes. Because there are millions of Trichomes you need to harvest on the average. They will continue to mature through the drying process for a day or more. Amber color is past prime for that Trichomes so you are just looking for an average of about 10% to 20% amber for true peak harvest; by then the rest will be cloudy so that is considered peak for the whole plant.
