i brought a color changing pipe from my friend and i want to clean it out using the salt with rubbing achocol method to get it super clean but if i do will the the pipe still change color after i clean it and start smoking out of it or will it fuck up and not change colors at all

The pieces should still be fine after you clean them. The color changing properties are inside the glass, not exposed to the outside. I have cleaned mine numerous times and it hasnt messed it up yet. Hope that helps.
no, it wont mess up.
but try just alcohol first then out salt in it...
it works good.
