Basic overall cost to produce 1-2 plants

Hello all, i currently am a freshman in college living in a dorm, so obviously im not growing any bud..within the next year or so i should be getting my own place/new job etc which will allow me to have my first attempt at growing.Im looking to just produce enough bud for personal use, hopefully enough to where i will have little dry time between the next grow session.

I'm looking to build a 3' x 3' x 4' box(I've got the basics of a grow room down from Jorge Cervante's Grow DvD) so I'm not too worried about that.
I know the cost of HPS lights etc and have a general idea of what to get.

My real question is nutrients. Ive got tons of soiless recipes book marked from throughout this forum and recommended websites that i'm looking at, but everything is seems to be pretty pricey. Anyone out there have a basic estimate that i would be looking at spending on nutrients to get me through however many grow sessions i can.

Also, on average, when any of you started growing for personal use( looking for just simple growers, nothing more than a 2-3 plant set up) what was your initial investment? Did you find any cheaper ways later on that would be helpful? Lemme know! Cheers

i can tell you what i have got.

grow micro bloom- all 4L jugs 23$ each
Revive-30$
Growth excell-30$
some organics-10$
vitamax-20$

the thing is i have enough grow micro bloom to make like 4000L of fert or something crazy like that. you would need much less. and you dont need revive. so you could get away with very little.

and if you dont want the exspencive stuff a lot of people use MG and have good results and they only spend like 20$

and now everyting else.
it wont cost much.

lights- depends on what you want. probaly 100-200$

i spent 1000$ outfitter two rooms
veg - 3.5X2 X 5ft
flower 4.5 x 2 x 5ft
with 400W hps and 400W MH and a 100W T5 for seedlings/clones
i got a bunch of stupid fans that were bad purchaces
i now have a 5inch inline duct fan
soil and shit was a lot as i use black gold organic potting soil
I spend over 100$ on nutes and pH shit

for a lot of things i made a bigger investment so i wont have to rebuy them. Ie. i got super big bottles of nutes cuz the unit price is a lot lower so in the long run it'll save me money
