Stupid question i know but i have to ask...
I have just planted my seeds and the have just sprouted but as a family we have just decided to go to Florida in January for 2 weeks, my seeds are a soil grow and wondered is there anyway to keep them moist for the duration of my holiday ?
Am i lloking at an auto feeder/water system or is it just a dead end for me ?
Thanks all, look forward to your replies.

Hmmm, I don't really know. A self watering system would be the way to go.
Maybe put them outside and let the rain water it.
Other than that, I'm not too sure.
You might get a better response posting in the Growing forum. :)

Getting cold my way...soft freezes, hard freezes. I don't know that I'd put them outside this time of year.
Go with some kind of self watering system, man. Even then, it's a risk!
Good luck, though...

I just re-read the original post. I misread and thought you said you lived in FL...my mistake. :o
Yeah, things will start to get cold in most parts now, so a self watering system is the only way to go. How you would do that, I have no clue. :p
Sorry I couldn't be much help.

Is there any way a 'trusted' friend or family member of yours could water the plants for you? Telling people about a grow is not a good idea.. better way to get caught. But if there was any way a person you know very well and trust could do it, that might be a lot easier than setting up a self-watering system. But I don't know.. I'm not very familiar with grows and stuff.

Simple solution.
Place your pots in a deep tray with water in it. The water will be absorbed up into the pots by capillary action. You should be able to get away with leaving for 2 weeks, but don't decide to stay longer.

You can make an auto-watering wick system using a T-shirt torn into strips and another bucket. Basically you tear the strips about 8-10 inches long, pull them through the holes in the bottom of your pot and tie a knot. You want a few inches to be up in the dirt. Then just hang the strips in a bucket of water beneath the pot. Works like city boy's idea, but keeps the dirt less soaked.

ok...here's what you do.
Get a jar of water and sit it next to your lil plants.
take a strip of cloth(s) to make a wic with
make sure the cloth(s) is long enough to go from jar of water, to, plants
put one end of wic in jar of water util wic touches bottom of jar, and bury the other end about 2-3 inches deep in your soil.
The wic will contniue to bring enough water to your soil until you get home. it does it rather slowly. Make sure your plants/soil, is well watered before you insert wic.

Fantastic advice guys looks like i`ll do the wick thing, TBH i`m not too fussed if they do die but it would be nice as of now i can continue vegging them. I`m really chuffed now it looks like i wont have to spend silly money on a watering gadget.
Thanks all, well pleased.

I dont know if this works with weed, but for other plants I used to have I did the thing other people are explaining with the tshirt but I used shoe laces (just take off the plastic at the ends)
