Whats the most difficult strain to grow ?
Just interested if any pro farmers out there have had no end of shit with the success of a certain strain or is it all about care and attention ?
Thanks all. I have been told by experienced others to stay away from "fancy" strains, can anyone help more on what might be meant ?
Thanks all.
Whats the most difficult strain to grow ?
except for true connisseurs (I think I mispelled that:D ) most growers avoid the Hazes, Thais, and other straight sativas ... they generally require flowering for several months, reach awesome heights, and tend to have low yields, plus, they can tend to be more susceptible to diseases and problems (maybe just because they are 'exposed' to the world for a longer time  I dunno) ... that's why they are generally hybridized with indicas, to keep their height down, shorten flowering periods, and increase yield ... BUT, I'm still a sativa lover, "Quality beats Quantity", in my mind ... :smokin:

I`m a little worried now as my first grow is "Mexican Sativa" i have popped 2 seeds and i`m vegging them i do plan to LST and Scrog them and they can get massive, i was told they are quite a simple strain.

Might work okay. I've got a Durban Poison x Skunk #1 plant growing indoors, and it's doing well. It's 87.5 percent Sativa, and definitely looks it. I wouldn't wait to flower for too long though, might have size probs. My plant would probably be six feet tall now if I hadn't LST'd the crap out of it during its life, to keep it just below 4 feet. Pretty sure she's finally about done growing now, at day 18 of flowering.
I was just doing some reading and "Mexican Sativa" is part of the genetic history of my plant (along with Acapulco Gold and Columbia Gold, Sativa variants), which is why I mention it. Other than germination probs (1 out of 10 seeds, but they were old freebies so I expected that), I have had zero probs. This plant is so hardy it's amazing. I took some clones, hope some live, I wanna try growing like six of these. ;)

I knowfor sure one of the hardest strains to grow is Jack Herer, shame, its such nice weed but alot of people will cross-breed it to make it easier to grow, definately not recommended for beginners...
Whats the most difficult strain to grow ?
Jack Herer is a pain in the ass because of its HAZE heritage ... :smokin:

image reaper said it all...i just need to add that trying to grow a pure satiVa (silver haze was the case) in a 3´high closet is amazingly difficult so if u were thinking about it !!!!! DONT DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!

Did you get those from seedbay as freebies? They sent me some too.. haven't popped them yet.
I'm currently growing a bunch of Haze X that look really good. The kid who bred them didn't tell me the other half of the cross but they look heavy indica so hopefully the stupid things don't throw my flower room off schedule.
I've read Mikado from Federation is a bitch to grow but WELL worth the effort.
