trouble after transplanting...

Hey, so I just transplanted one of my seedlings that is about 10 days old into a larger container today. This was my first time transplanting anything, and I thought I did everything correctly.

But, tonight I have noticed some drooping of all the leaves. The only thing I can think of as to what is going on is maybe I over watered a bit.

I don't have any pictures right now. It's not drooping a ton, but it's definitely noticeable.

If it is infact just some over watering, how long do you think it might take to get it back to normal? And is there anything I need to do in the meantime?

If you don't think it's over watering, any ideas on what it could be? Maybe is that just what happens to recently transplanted plants?

Oh, I guess I should give you guys some info on the grow...


2 plants going right now.

Using CFLs, I have four 26w, two 42w, and three 20w bulbs.

I'm using FF Ocean Forest soil. My water pH is 6.8.

Temp is at 83F, humidity is between 40-50%.

Lights are close, no stretching has happened.

Plants are about 10 days old right now.

I think that's about it.

You kind of ansewered your own question,Drooping is mostly caused by either under or over watering,

At about 80f they should perk back up in about 3 days from overwatering,or a few hours after watering if they were underwatered.

They should be fine. As kully already stated they should recover soon. It could be you over watered after the transplant, or shocked them slighly. Just make sure next time you transplant you are as careful with the roots as possible and try to not disturb the root ball. Some people like to break the soil off the root ball and I find this only causes stress for the plant. Also make sure your soil is well aerated and that there are sufficient holes in the bottom of the pots. I usually mix vermiculite with my soil to give it more oxygen content for the roots.
