grow room temp

:rasta: Can the grow room be to cold? When I walk in even if the lights on I feel chills. When the lights go out it gets pretty cold is that good

plants grow best with a temp of 70-80 degrees while you can succesfully grow in lower temps if its below 50 you should probably consider heating the area or insulate it so the temps do not drop as much, if your ventilation system is pulling in cold air you may have to reduce it to bring the temps up.

HAHA well here are again iltv. I just finished an experiment with seedlings grown in two envrionments. They were the same seeds so no genetic differences.

1st room was a closet in my bedroom. Temps were around 65f to 75f nite and day. I also believe my exhaled co2 was a factor with this room because the plants exploded in growth.

2nd room was the laundry room with no heat at all. Temps got pretty cool at nite, around 45, and daytime temps stayed below 60 for the most part. Plants looked really healthy and bushy, but remained about 6" shorter in height. These were not unhealthy. They showed great health and vigor from the start.

This experiment was meant to try and see if more females were prevelant with colder conditions, or warmer conditions, but thats another story.

Generally you need to hold 80f during lites on, and about 15f lower at nite, imo. Peace to friends
