Best Hydro System?

I have an Ebb & Flow system and a home made DWC. I have had significant problems with the DWC system due to the roots being in the water/nutes. But until their roots reached the water; they were growing like crazy. Then the rot set in. The temp of the water may have been too high and a lot of other things might have contributed to this. I made the DWC with a drip feature as well. The Ebb & Flow is a store bought model and I have achieved OK results. I am looking to upgrade and would like the experts' (you) opnion on what system is best for a small (4' x 4' x 7' closet) area. I know there have been these questions before, but technology being as it is (advancing rapidly), I would like to know what you folks think. My last crop was all males and I am bummed about it. Thanks to everyone that adds to this. I want to learn.:D

add more areation to your water.....airstones/air pumps.....etc.....that should solve your problem with DWC.

PS...and consider investing in a chller to lower water temp. ;)

^^What WH said. Sounds like your e&f works better because it doesn't count on an airstone to add O2 to teh root zone, and that was lacking in your particular style of DWC. Add and airstone, control your room temps, and get ready to GROW!
