hmm... thats a tricky one, im assuming it comes from the word pot-ajuana, just a guess
pot.. spelt backwards is... top!
so the plants top, is the pot, that we smoke?
maybe? i dunno.
but damn that is a question to put your mind in a loop
yeah? what does the mexican slang word "marijuana" mean?
cannabis. the true. the magnifficent. cannabis.
love, kp:p
i dont remeber exactly but it has to do with abbreviating a spanish word.
yea, it is a shortened form of the spanish word "potiguaya", which means marijuana leaves.
And, according to legend, the term "marijuana" ... spelled "mariHuana" in mexico, is a term that originated between 1890-1895, when marijuana cultivation first began to be cultivated on a large scale in Mexico (and while it was still legal). It refers to a famous couple that was well-known for marijuana cultivation ... Mary Juan (not sure what the guys name was).
Any other questions?

fikus i'm not sure if this is a thing in your neck of the woods but you can have a bap ( tap oin the head) for fooling me hardcore
In my nick of the woods, a bap usually means "turn around so I can punch you in the face" or that you're goose and have to chase the other kid around the circle before he gets in your seat.
