Week 7 flower... do i harvest???
hi there guys, i know you've been following this girl in the other thread 'Week 4 flower...your valuable opiniones needed' but as i'm looking for week 7 flower info i thought it would be more usefull for future growers if i started a new, quick and to the point thread. so we are in week 7, she is fat, VERY sticky and 20%of the HAIRS are amber (not Trichs). cannot get a microscope for love nor money so i'm going for an educated guess. pics aren't great but would you cut now? c'mon guys dont let me down...
p.s. the leaves have all gone cos of spider mites... (RE previous thread).
Peace out:smokin:

Week 7 flower... do i harvest???

Week 7 flower... do i harvest???
I go by the trichomes, but thought I remember reading that generally the plant is ready when about 50-70% of the pistils turn brown.
Week 7 flower... do i harvest???
The pistils should be more like 50 to 80% red or brown. Your plant has obviously been very stressed to to the leaf problem, and that probably delayed flowering a good amount. Try to find a magnifying lense of some kind to see the trichomes, that's the only way that you're going to know.

i cant get a microscope either.but who cares i never even heard of harvesting due to trigh color until the last few years.so anyway.....wait til 70% are brownor if you are wanting to enhance the "couchlock" then wait til 80-85% be patient...another week(ish)
Week 7 flower... do i harvest???
well thanks fr the tips guys, i took her out of her box and had a good look, the pistils are actually 60-70% brown so i cut her! (need the box empty too so it had to be done soon) the buds are actually quite impressive considering how small she is (about a foot INCLUDING the pot!) the bud is about the size of a cola can so i'm quite pleased for first grow. she is hanging to dry now so i'll keep you posted on the quality of the smoke
Peace out and thanks again guys.
