Feeling the Presence

Hey everyone. Suicide is something no one should ever have to deal with. But it does happen. But theres always a light, i found it today.

10-30-04 - my best friend and neighbor killed himself. He was 16 and it changed everyones lives.

10-30-06 (today) The weather was more mild than it usually is. and the forecast only predicts that it be this nice for only today. I decide to enjoy this weather and just open my mind and check things out. I grab my piece, my ipod and hop on my bike. i enjoy a bowl in the woods on the bike trails and proceed to ride around just thinking about things. (i live out in the country, so the area is very beautiful, quiet, and serene. as the sun was setting, i started replaying the scene of 2 years ago when i walked across the street to find out why the police cars were there. and to hear the news. i then started thinking about all the things that he's missed out on that ive done. all the trips and fun times he's missing. but then i suddenly just snapped and new it. i knew he was there every second of it. i could feel his presence and i just know the truth and i know i'll see him again. i cant wait. i felt very connected, and as if i could almost see the energy. i rode home into the sunset with a smile on my face.

That was a really touching post. I guess I don't have anything relevant to add to this thread as far as my own experience, but I just thought I'd say thanks for sharing such a deeply-personal moment. :)
