i need to find a doctor to service my disease but

i live in mississippi and there arent any medical marijuana drs here that ive found so far. i have bi-polar disease c.o.p.d.s. and type 2 diabetees. i am of the mind set that natural cures are much safer than taking all the crap the chemecal industry has created to take care of my pains and inability to clear my lungs of phleem. i think i qualify but am not sure can any of those in the medical profession reply to this thread and suggest a way for me to acquire a medical marijuana card from cali of one of the other states that serve the med mj community?

Hello, Siscokid. You can only get a medical mj card if you're a resident of the state you'll be using it in. Mississippians can't obtain a California card, an Oregon card, or a soon-to-be Nevada card. Unless you can move to a medical-mj-allowing state, you'll simply have to wait till Mississippi passes a medical MJ law itself. Bummer, I know. But that's how it works.

With your conditions, however, even if you lived in a medical MJ state, you've got two heavy strikes against your using medical MJ, unless it's vaporized or is part of a tincture or liquid. Diabetes is one of the anti reasons. Not only because the two don't seem to work well together dietarily, what with the munchies and weed's tendency to exacerbate blood glucose fluctuations, but also because smoking will put you at further circulatory risk, and if you have both COPD and diabetes, you're already at great circulatory risk now. COPD is a disease for which smoked weed would be completely contra-indicated, just like any smoking would.

Don't jump to the conclusion that just because something's natural it's automatically better than mainstream prescribed medicines. Both types of meds have their drawbacks and weaknesses. And they both have advantages. Right now, for COPD, your inhaled meds like your albuterol/levabuterol (or whichever -buterol you use) and Spriva are quite literally adding time your life. Don't throw those over the fence just because they're prescribed pharmaceuticals. And make sure you talk to your doctor before smoking anything so he can tell you this same info.
