My reflector's looking kind of nasty, if i unplug everything and unscrew light (with towel of course) could I scrub it?
Or would it be better to add a little mylar in my reflector?
It's a Hydrofarm, air cooled, glass encased 1,000wHPS reflector.

i dont see why you cant clean it up a bit... just use a weak detergent solution.
ist is just dust and general dirt or is the reflector surface damaged?
I clean my whole reflector including bulb with windex of course when its off and cool just wipe it down give it just a few minutes and its ready to be fired up.
hey buddahbear ,
i use a cheap ass furnace filter to filter the incoming air that goes thru my air cooled cooltubes . it's a p.i.t.a to have to keep cleaning them . but yes windex , etc.... on the cleaning q's .
peace
