Got electrocuted by my 1,000w HPS!

I bought an 1,000w HPS, homewired light and ballast with an Air cooled hydrofarm reflector (with glass) for 150$. When I was transporting it, it must have messed with the wires to make them more exposed because i tripped over an area with exposed wire and got fucking electrocuted! Hurt like a bitch and made me kind of keel over but I'm fine. I just rolled over and then unplugged that shit.

All in a days work huh? Funniest thing that I have herd all day, LOL.
But seriosly, be careful.

Thats wierd i got a shock today as well..

have you ever seen those pens that zap you when you click the lid down... one of my friends thought it would be funny to do this to me when i was stoned... i clicked it down.. and Holy crap did i get a buzz, seriosly it put me on my ass..

So what are you going to do with the light? id look into getting it repaired by someone who knows what they are doing.. say you had just watered your plants and you were standing in a puddle you would be screwed man..

my arm is still numb from that god dam pen.. are those things safe?

Don't forget that there's a big assed capacitor in a ballast that can zap you even with the cord unplugged!
