no new growth for 7 days
what's up people? i'm having a problem with my seeds. they started growing (15 of them) and then just stopped. they're all turning yellow, some are really dry too. the roots are still growing though, there is alot of new root growth. but the tops aren't really growing, 3 grew about 4 inches with about 10 leaves on them, then stopped, the rest are still tiny with only 2 little fan leaves, and no signs of new growth (except roots). temps are between 82-84, ph 6. i have them all in a rubbermaid tub. i don't get it. they are old seeds though, been in my drawer for the past 4 years or so. if it's not the old age then what else could it be?

just my .02 cents, not pro advice.. but my seedlings started out really rough and werent doing well at all untill someone finally pointed out they were lacking nitrogen.. might want to wait for new input before adding anything to your plants.. btw i used fish emulsions 5-1-1, its organic so doesnt burn.. dont know if it would be ok to use on seedlings though..

What was your watering schedule? How close were the lights to the plants? I have experienced something similar and when I dug them up to do an autopsy, the root just below the soil line was hard, shrunken, and appeared to be suffering from damping-off.
At present I am experimneting with controlled tests of watering schedules and light height (heat) to see if I can nail down the problem.
