uhhh, I thought the whole point of a growroom was the " quest for the ultimate Buzz " ... :D
haha, cant say i have however for a while i thought i would, i got some good electrical tape and i dont have worries no more;)
after setting up a new 8" Can Fan in our attic, we decided to turn the setup on for a test drive before getting out and leaving things. Somehow, the motor arc'ed to the ducting attached to the fan, creating a monstrous spark that toasted nearly a foot of ducting in one big WOOOOF! My roommate was nearly blown backwards and if it had stayed plugged in for another 5 seconds it would have sparked the insulation and burned the house down.
Yay for test drives! There was so much amperage going through the cord that I had to brace myself to pull the cord from the socket. It fried the cord, the fan, the ducting, and the outlet. Then it tripped the breaker.
Fun stuff.
holy shit. you're lucky you didn't die.
my setup hasn't shocked me yet. fingers crossed.
No...have tried to keep everything safe and out of the way of water...but for a while, it was temporarily vulnerable and I recently spilled some water and some splashed ONto a powerstrip and some plugs. SO lucky nothing happened. Whew! Cleaned it up IMMEDIATELY...and since then, everything is safe as can be. All electric is elevated and out of the way.
SAFETY FIRST!!!
Be cool...and safe.

I got shocked once when I was younger... I was living with my parents at the time and had a Hash Plant in my closet.. well I left, spur of the moment, with some friends to California for three weeks.. and when I came home, I was shocked to see that my parents had taken care of my plant.. It was so huge, and had just started flowering too.. haha
Heh I accidentally shocked myself moving my ballast around. I figured it was fine since all the connections had wire nuts on them. Forgot about the capacitor... Ouch! Won't happen again
