That last video of the reporter is a spoof. I saw it on the Comedy channel quite some time ago, so in other words, it's not real.

Plus, coco plants have no visual impairing effects when just the plant. It's only cocaine once it's been soaked in kerosene. Burning it alone would do absolutly nothing.
