Fan Stuck???

I have one fan circulating air around in my room and I noticed it having trouble starting up and now it doesnâ??t work. It seems like something has â??gummedâ?� up the lubrication for the turning axel. Do the plants give off that much resin into the air, (they arenâ??t flowering) anyone have problems with this, and does anyone have a solution.

Ps- if I spin the blade by hand and turn it on, it will spin for a while and slowly slow down and stop.

take it apart and clean it and re-lube. Should work fine. I do it to mine when they start stressin. If the brushes are bad in the motor, the fan is shot.

Even with a lube it will fail again soon. It's simpler to replace than to let it overheat and burn down the house. Those china-made fans are cheap.

what is the best lube to use. WD-40? any suggestions
