Curing jar question

I'll be curing some buds sometime next week. I bought a medium size jar at my local walmart. It has a rubber seal and a metal clamp on the lid for a tight seal. I thought it would be perfect. It looks exactly like the one in the Cannabis Grow Bible on pg 206 (which is what I was looking for) There is one difference. The jar is made out of thick hard plastic. It is not glass. There is a sticker on the bottom of the jar. I didn't notice the sticker on jar when I bought it but I noticed it today. The sticker on the bottom of the jar says "not reccomended for storing flavored coffees" Should I use a different jar or will this be OK for curing?

I would stick with GLASS... platic gives me the eeee BBBB GGGG BBB zzzz..

Don't forget to open the jar every day and let it air out.. maybe even dump your bud out of the jar onto a paper towel for 15 minutes..

UNTIL you reach the perfect "dryness"..

I agree 100% with GardenGnome, plastic sucks, I just use Mason jars (cheap) ... do as he suggested, you'll be fine ... IF you get it too dry, just slip a piece of lettuce, lemon or orange peels, etc. in there for a couple days, will humidify it just fine ... :smokin:

Never tried parsley before; think I'll try that next time!

..the way, I understand it...plastic is not an oxygen barrier..over the long haul..stick with air-tight glass jars...oxygen-light-heat, are the problems for long term storage..No air..No light..Cool...
