amsterdam?

hey guys, im finishing my final GCSEs (imporant exam) this year and during my summer we thought we mite go to amsterdam, but whats the legal smoking age limit, is it 16, or 18 and wat type of iD should you be carrying?

I believe in Holland you need to be at least 16 to be considered an adult just like Germany. In Europe if you appear to be responsible and can handle your shit and aren't acting like a little kid or being obnoxious then nobody will notice what you do.

For something fun check out Amsterdam in google earth. But you didn't know that almost the entire city is comprised of water canals did ya?

Legal smoking age is Holland is 18 yrs of age, not 16. As for ID, just your card that was issued to you by your state/province, and if you don't have a card, then you're not old enough yet.

We don't get cards given to us in the UK.

Dude, its 18, and you would need a valid passport anyway, and you need it to enter the Country in the first place.

Really? They don't use ID card or give out drivers license's? I'm just curious then, how do they know when someone is of legal age to buy tobacco or booze with no ID card? :) I'm not disagreeing with you, I'm just curious.
