A Few Basic Questions - Need Help ASAP

I did a quick search before posting this and I didn't find anything that answered my questions, so I apologize if any of these questions have been asked before/are asked frequently.

My seeds are almost done germinating and I'm about to transfer them to soil, but I need to know a few things first or I can't transfer them:

how many times per day should I water the plant, and how much water should I use?

What should my light cycle be immidiately after transferring?

How deep should I put the germinated seed into the soil? And in what direction should the sprout be pointing in?

Are you kidding me? I'm pretty sure if you look at any grow log, 75% of the time the answer to all those questions are in there.

Water when the soil isn't moist any more. Stick your finger down in there, and if it's dry a couple inches down, water it. How much is really up to how dry your soil is and how good of drainage you have.

If your germinated seeds haven't sprouted, then there is no need for light yet. Once they pop up, then put the lights on 18/6.

Put the germinated seeds anywhere from 1/4" to 1/2" down in the soil.

As for the sprout, I'm not exactly positive because I've always just put unsprouted seeds in the soil. But I *THINK* you put it so the tail is going downward. I'd wait for a definitive answer though.

This stuff is all over the place, but being relatively new myself, I wont berate you for it. If you go to google and search for "mj grow guide" you should be able to find a lot. anyway, what I did was take a pencil and press the eraser end down into the soil about as deep as the eraser. Then put your seed in with the sprout pointing DOWN. then lightly cover with more soil so its not too hard for it to sprout up through your soil. I watered mine until the water was just starting to come out of the drain holes at the bottom. You dont need to water them again until you can stick your finger in the soil and it feels dry. But dont jam your finger in to check be gentle and dont stick your finger in too far. basically if the top .25" to .50" of soil is dry is pretty safe to water again. I only have to water mine every 3 to 5 days, but I am using Miracle Gro Moisture Control, which holds water a bit longer than most soils do I believe.

Yeah, I know these questions must be asked often but I seriously can't find them answered anywhere. The grow FAQs are all about more advanced stuff and when I did a search for watering every question was asked with an already basic understanding of how often to water, so I wasn't able to get the answers I was looking for. But your responses have helped and I should be able to transfer to tonight or tomorrow. :)

me i give 2 ltr every other day. ive just recently learned about p.h.ing my water before i feed. i adjust it to nuteral had some problems salt lock up

I water mine twice a day with a turky baster. small seedlings have very small root systems so you cant let them dry out for too long. I have had one die because i didn't water for about 18 hours. So I guess thats how fast it can happen.

i normally put seedlings so they are only just under the surface.
also, the soil should not be water-logged, small seedlings wont use a lot of water, so as long as the depth of soil where the seeds are dosent get totally dried out, you are ok.

you have to keep a balance between rotting them from to much water, and drying out. the drainage of the soil, light and temp will dictate how much and how often you water, which will vary...its somthing you will get a feel for quite quickly.
