Is it true that when you smoke out of a metal bowl you are inhaling harmful chemicals due to the heat? I need scientific information on it, not just opinions. Your answers will help me decide if a "pocket bong" is a wise choice to own, anyone have any experience with one?:o
I think there are lots of opinions on that but not a lot of concrete study evidence, Cap'n. Some of the opinions that are especially strong are regarding aluminum, but I know there are probably other equally strong opinions about other metals.
If you feel at all concerned, perhaps you should make a decision to go with Pyrex or ceramic.
Yeah your right. It is extremely hard to fine a solid answer. I guesse I'll just chill with my glass for now untill further information. Anyone else got any info?
Most metal pipes are manufactured from a steel/aluminum alloy; those are safe to smoke- the metal combination is more stable. Pure aluminum foil, however, is not. You should be safe.
