Can anyone tell me how you could cut a circular hole in the center of a flat piece of wood. Is this really hard or am I just really high and having problems thinking?

well after you draw out your circle use a jig saw, a sawzall, or even a skill saw....it is very easy..but considering you posted this, mabye try a hand saw..drill a hole big enough for the blade and start cutting
jigsaw is the easiest way you simply drill a hle big enough for the blade to fit and cut your circle
Depends what size hole you are making. :) If it is 1/2" or smaller, like for wires or something, you can get a "boring drill bit." That works beautifully for small holes. If you dont have anything else, and you are trying to make a bigger hole, you can still use this drill bit to make several holes around the edge of your big hole, then shave off the rest with a hand saw! It's not as precise as a jigsaw, but not everyone has one of them, and trust me, you can even screw it up worse if you let that get away from you.
Happy drilling! Dont get bored! I crack myself up...:p

Edit: They also make "saws" that attach to a drill that will make a 4" hole or larger even. They're not dirt cheap but maybe worth it. I'll try to find a pic to post.
They are called "hole saws" oddly enough.
damn fog..nice job you should work at home depot.
Yeh, use the hole saws my self, have about 15 of them, come in handy. Invest in some if you are going to be a cab grower, they are really a good tool to make things so much easier.

Ebay has holesaw kits pretty cheap; that's where I got mine. Bigger selection and better prices than I saw at Home Depot. Although it's possible that I got a cheap kit that won't stand up to rigorous long-term use. But that wasn't a concern for me, since I just needed to drill like half a dozen holes total, and it was totally fine for that.
LOL. I forgot about this thread. Hope you got your hole woes solved, newb420.Quote:
