Female and Male on same Plant?????????
High all, im currently a little confused about my plant. . She and im positive its a she but after closer inspection i found what i believe to be male pollen sacks on her. Is it possible for a plant to be both male and female. ive read many threads and done many searches ive also read the cannabis bible and watched a few growing videos but i havent came across this subject. i would really apreciate any help with this. if you know of a thread which covers this subject please put up a link to it for me. if these are male pollen sacks could i get away with snipping them off carefully as im 5 weeks into flowering and its just bag seed as im only experimenting at the moment.
Ive tried to upload a few pics but i cannot seem to do it as after i click the upload icon after selecting my file (677kb Jpeg) it seems to upload for a bit then i get the cannot display this page page.

Hermaphrodites, the internet is littered with info on that.

Yeah this seems to happen rather easily with cannabis, if pistils don't emerge from the sacs then you've got a hermie, so you'll need to either scrap the plant or remove the sacs so your calyxes don't get seeded.

Many thanks guys. as she was so far into the flowering ive decided to cut my ladyboys balls off and hope for the best. im not so bothered as only experimenting just now but ive learned a lesson for the future.

yeah I am actually gaining great yield off a couple of five foot hermies at the moment. I just cut the sacks off when I see em and cut the lower colas that were littered with balls off completely and let the rest of her grow!

But just remember, if you do happen to miss any of those pollen sacks, the only seeds that you're going to get in your buds will be female seeds.

Is this Right? i thought that if it came from a poor strain (as its a hermie) that it would produce seed yes but wont it be male and female seed both of a poor quality strain.

nope, Markass is absolutely correct. Hermies produce feminized seeds. When or if you buy them fromm seed banks. that is how they know they are feminized. the light stress a plant into a hermie, allow it to pollinate itself and sell the seeds that have a 99.8 percent chance of being female as the plants base genetics don't really change from being a female when it is stressed into becoming a hermaphrodite, therefore, the genetics passed along to the seeds are just that... Feminized.

'feminized', yes ... but, they also have a tendency to produce more hermies ... :smokin:

Most seeds from a hermie will be hermie, some female, and some male.
But most hermie.
And that isnt how they make femanized seeds.
