Marijuana legalization?

Well with all these new laws and such going around I think marijuana is closer than ever to being legal even though the legalization is more for the medicinal uses and not recreational. But still, what do you think?

I dont think it will be legal in the US ever.

I don't think it is gonna be legal nationwide anytiime soon. And even though a few states have medical marijuana, it is still illegal for the rest of the stoners that want to partake in the gift from the gods.

it will make the congress and president at the time look bad if it were nationally legalized...its most likely not going to happen

too much chains of government that have to pass the law and agree...

and if they were to try to pass a law to legalize it, they've already fucked themselves over by all this gay false advertising about marijuana and all the media put out to oppose the use of it

Lol yeah but theres nothing wrong with admitting their mistakes and moving on with life and making it easier for people like us that are just innocent marijuana smokers. No one that uses marijuana is a criminal, it isnt even hurting anyone wtf man lol.

u know what pisses me off....underage people that drink but dont smoke weed and their reason is always like "marijuana is worse for you"

and it just makes me sad because the media has hacked into their mind and inserted gay false shit...and now they are all like hard core about believing that smoking weed is a bad bad thing....i used to be like that...

I think it will be as legal as alcohol at some point. Whether that point occurs within my lifetime, well, I'm not so sure that will be the case. But the avalanche of pot-smoking baby boomers is out there, and by and large they are also voting, so perhaps they can change the world one more time.

i want to believe that the hypocrisy will end within the next 10 years... dunno...

It is only illegal because they are not making any money on it. If the government could make money with weed like they do with tabacco, it would be legal. There is still money in tabacco and this country was partially founded with tabacco money, so they aint illegalizing that crap anytime soon.

first off, smoking weed does hurt people, by smoking weed (unless you grow it) you are suporting criminal gangs that often treat those on the plantations like shit, often kil people in their way etc. just are generally doing nasty things with your money, but i do that so i'm not having a go. it makes perfect sense for total legilization of all drugs it iwll never happn however because the possitive effects would be long time and probably by the next election the poositive effect would not yet be in place and it would seem that the government had failed, also shit i forgot, something else important... fuck it
