FIRST GROW - 13 PLANTS

Hey,

Well no one was really helping me with my orginal post...so decided to start a new, cleaned up post.

I recently re potted 13 plants that have been growing outdoors since June. When i got the plants, all but 2 of them, were still in small, styrofoam cups, the OG ones they were planted in. The plants just started to flower when I got them. I started them on a 12/12 with a basic 2 BULB FLOURESANT setup (BUILDING A 400-600 HPS...SHOULD BE COMPLETED SOON ENOUGH).

These are a couple pics....the first day I got them inside. I think theyve grown alot since then, and the buds are all looking great. This is my first grow...so not too much knowledge on this. But I am almost 100% sure all these are females...one or two I am questioning maybe a hermie...Ill get better pics of those. All the buds have white pitsols coming out every where. The biggest plant is almost 6 ft....and the average plant in the room is 3 ft. Some smaller, but most average 3 ft.

The temps in the grow room have been staying around the 75-80 degree area.

I re potted all the plants, about half of them are in 2 gallon nice pots, and the rest are in misc pots that I had to find around the house.

Its been on 12/12 for indoors for 7 days (today is the 7th day).

Anyways, I know I need a better light for the flowering process, but for the 7th day, most of the plants are looking pretty well.

These plants were NEVER given nutes throughout the time outside, and am going to start a nute process with my watering any day here. Ive been watering when the soil drys out, and been spraying plants with fresh water also.


:rasta: Let me know what you guys think. I am working on doing a reflective material around the entire room, getting the nutes (found a good one for flowering at wal mart) and most importantly the HPS light. I am hoping to have a decent crop, but who knows. We'll see I guess.

The first pic is of the nicest cola. The plant itself is smaller, with not alot of bud flow and alot of stretching, but this main cola is getting bigger every day!!

how close are you keeping the flourescents to the canopy?

those plants look sad man i see a twig with a microbud on it you need light and dont be upset if it all sucks

well theres not much you can do when you get 13 plants...and need to do something with them. i didnt raise them, so at their current condition, has nothing to do with me.

im making a hps, and realzie its needed. the plants look really good compared to how they were when i got them, so i must be doing something right.

i know theyve been stretched, but in my opinion other then that, there in a good state.

some of the buds comin up, are looking really really good. hoping a decent crop once i get a light and start a good flowering nute.

if your using soil you should use the 600 hps so you can penetrate the canopy once they really start going you may need to turn some of the also

Just to let you know, 600w hps wont give off enough lumens for 13 plants. Its pretty much for every 100w=1plant/sqft. I would also add some cfl's to get the lower part of the plants. More light, more bud. Atleast they were free or whatever, and they all look farely decent. Give nutes real gradually, try 50% first, if they handle that then try increasing alittle more little by little. Good luck!!!

thanks. im actually going to scrap about 4 of the plants that are really really small, and thinking bout going 600hps for the bulb.

600w hps would be more than plenty for them, cmon now, with a 400w hps u/I can grow more than 30 into flowering! 400w is awesome for up to 15 square feet as long as the bulb is puttin out 40000 lumens

Just to add my bit, from what i've read 40watts per sq foot is what you should be looking at, so a 400hps would be fine for a 3'x3' area, allowing you to flower 9 plants. Apparently when you go over 40watts per sq foot light starts being wasted. But i'm not sure if the use of Co2 would allow the plants to use more light so you could up the 40watt limit of deminished returns. 100 watts a sq foot seems too much to me tho weed4life

...or you can do it the hard way..like I did. 13 female white widows..one 400HPS Hortilux. I rotated half ..every 12 hours..from the grow room to the dark room...for 60-90 days flowering. Whew!..that was a lot of work. I'd do it again ..........in a heartbeat.
