Just wondering if anyone here plays Madden 07 for PS2 online..
I love playing that game online when I'm baked.
I always end up talking so much shit over the microphone to the person I'm playing, it's great.
I also seem to gain skill while I'm high. It might just be me thinking I'm playing really good just because I'm baked.

i have madden 06 for xbox. alot of ppl say its not much different except superstar mode, so im not that interested.
I haven't played it yet, but I kindof fizzled out of the madden thing around 04 or 05. I'm thinking about just boycotting the games till EA gives up the NFL license. I'm kindof hoping that the madden games keep getting shittier and shittier till the NFL realises that they fucked up big time by being exclusive to EA. There's plenty of other developers that can make just ad good if not better games but no ones gonna buy a football game if you can't play as your fav team. Who wants to be the Miami duskbuckets or whatever.
Like any market, competition is key to innovation. As of now EA can sit on thier ass and not do shit and make money hand over fist. Its just not right. At least that my 2 cents.
Companies can still make football games.
Just can't use the NFL logo or team names.
Probably the player names either...Not 100% sure..
EA doesn't have the right to stop companies from making a football game.
A company should just use the same team colors, similar logos and use similar names for the players.
Name everyone John. Make their last name the real last name of the actual real life player.
Ex: John Vick. On the game the name would just show up as Vick.

Well yea you're right and they seemed to pull it off pretty well with Blitz the league (last year I think?), but without an NFL license, you're not gonna get any true simulators. Just acrade style games. Part of the draw to madden is being able to play a full season with up to date player stats and bring your team to the top, but this can't be done without an nfl license. They'll be plenty of good football games out, but there'll only be one football 'simulator'.Quote:

My record blows but I'm pretty good...half of my losses are DCs for some reason my connection doesn't like me playing madden and will randomly cut out for a second. It kicks me outta the game but not off the entire EA server. My computer isn't effected either, just the Ps2.

question, ok we have the newer skinnier version of the ps2 and it has an ethernet hookup on the back, how can we get online to play????:confused:
cause my hubby said he would whoop anybodys ass on madden 07, GO BROWNS! hehehe.....:D
