This is just a mama guess, but I think it's likely that you've been smoking some weed regularly for a while, that you're a healthy, growing young man, a, and that you sometimes can be a tad imaginative about physical complaints that are normal occurrences. Remember that sore throat that didn't turn out to be throat cancer? And the stomach ache? I can't remember what was before those, but you had "close brushes" with a couple of other ailments, too.
Seriously, we all get sharp pains in our sides and mid-body periodically. Often it's just an air bubble that gets in between the chest wall and the lungs. Happens more often to smokers. Happens frequently in early autumn, when there are periods of low humidity or high levels of allergens or pollutants. Happens in active, growing young adults, too, just like leg pains. Advil or Tylenol are helpful, as is rest, deep breathing and taking a break from smoking for a time. Try not to worry, OK? You're fine.

I do the same thing, too. It always helps to have a separate, objective person provide some reassurance. I was obsessing a good bit just yesterday about heartburn/reflux, and just knew I was probably on my way to getting esophageal cancer. It's been in the news a lot down here lately.
My husband said he really didn't think I was probably dying of anything just yet. . . . but that I should be very alert and hypervigilant just in case advanced cancer truly did come on real quickly. After that, I calmed down. (And smacked him with a pillow.)

i too experience this "lung pain" and sometimes it can bug me out because ive been smoking cigarettes for a year now and after all these crazy commercials ive seen.... just makes me wanna quit so bad! but you just cant!

You can quit. People quit smoking cigarettes every day. It makes their lungs feel better, their pocketbooks feel better, and it helps keep them from dying from emphysema, lung cancer, and/or heart disease down the road. Those are miserable diseases, trust me, and cigarettes are the leading cause of them. Think of the money you'd save, which you could spend on grass.
You've only been smoking for a year, and that means it's plenty early enough to keep yourself from having permanent lung damage from cigarettes. C'mon. Give it a try. If you have to, keep trying till you succeed. Here's a link that may help!
