smokers who want to improve memory

We all know about the idea that stoners have bad term short term memories. This idea can be blown out of the water if you have the tools to take control and improve your memory. I did the following exercise when stoned just to prove to myself that I could have a better memory while high...

Take a list of items or names... I'll use sativa dominant hybrid strains for this example.

* Early Pearl
* Early Skunk
* Euforia

* Lambsbread Skunk
* Lemon Skunk
* Lifesaver
* Life Star
* L.S.D
* Neon Super Skunk
* Neville's Haze

* Shaman

Have you ever visualized? Visualization is seeing images in our minds and can also encompass sounds.. feelings.. tastes and smells. If you are not sure then think of the colour of your front door. Is there a number? a name? In most cases you will "see" in your mind the door. This is visualization. Another way of looking at it.. can you remember a dream you have had?.. If so you are seeing a picture in your mind? visualization. If you want more help on this then please ask as I have many other techniques for becoming "aware" of these images.

Now that you can see the images in your mind it is time to put them to some good use. I'm going to give you my examples but you can use your own with things that are more memorable to you. Let's take the list starting with AK-47. See the weapon in your mind. Imagine a Taliban fighter with a turban the size of his whole body firing the gun in all directions shouting dirka dirka. Exaggerations can make things look funny and funny things are more memorable than static plain images. OK so you have the first strain. Next is cali orange. This time see the Taliban fighter firing into a huge big orange and orange juice spraying all over him. You can even have a rushing liquid sound and feel some of the orange land on your face.

Linking images by connecting them together is a natural process of memory. Take one item link it to the next. Then take that item and link it to the next one on the list and so on. So the next on the list is choco diesel. So take the last item.. the huge orange and get it to roll over a chocolate covered diesel car/bus/tractor or something you associate with diesel that is clear in your mind. Hear the car crush for extra effect as the windows blow out.

I'm going to stop there. If you really want a good memory or believe you don't have a good memory then try this exercise. You may be surprised at how much you can remember. People who have used this technique can remember lists that go into the hundreds of thousands. It is so effective. Go on and link the next item.. cinderella.. I'm sure you have the imagination to think of something memorable from this strain.

That's cool man. A big factor in memory is belief. Someone might believe they are good at math so when they go into the class room they are in a state of expecting that they will understand. If someone believes they are no good at drawing then the state they are in might be apprehension in an art class which stops them from putting in any concentrated effort. Beliefs can be formed through experience. Maybe the non drawer was told by someone at an impressionable age that they were no good at art. Maybe the maths wizard did a sum and thought to themselves.. "wow.. math is so easy!". Beliefs can stunt our growth as human beings or take us to new levels of understanding. Changing beliefs can be pretty simple if you have a good technique for doing so. I have some that I will share on the "believe!" thread tomorrow.

hey man, that works,just made a small list and tried to remember it just by repetive reading, didnt have much luck then tried a different short list useing your method and hey presto i surprised myself on how well i did,just hope i can remember this lol.

An excellent example of this theory being utilized is also a reason so bake before class. I remember a couple years ago in high school this chick and I would always toke on the ride to school. One day, she had an awesome skunk that made my head so clear and high the whole day. My first period was Algebra and I got an A on that test, man... still remember it... and chemestry went well that day, too...
