So I calculated the lethal dose of THC based on a paper that I recently posted, based on studies with monkeys a 150 pound person would have to consume over 1.3 pounds of pure THC to get a lethal dose. I don't know how this relates to smoked THC, but that's quite a lot of THC.
If you smoke the fuck out and in less than 5 mins you feel the effect and not even reach your peak yet I'm pretty sure before anyone smokes 1.3 pounds of marijuana they will either not want anymore or pass out lol.
If you attempted to smoke 1.3lbs you'd suffocate trying to inhale all that smoke within 15min or however fast you have to consume it. Thats just trying to smoke 1.3lbs of weed, which isn't pure THC.
I wonder if you could somehow cook like 5lbs and eat it all...probably have to eat like 2 batches of very concentrated brownies, atleast.
There's probably just no way to OD on the plant, you'd have to use marinol, but then could anyone ever get their hands on that much marinol? Or a lot or resin maybe.
Yeah... 1.3lbs would be a lot to consume of ANYTHING, nevermind consuming 1.3lbs of a drug.
I ate a lot of pancakes made from cannabutter. God knows how much THC was in it but I went to bed and slept for 36 hours straight. I woke up feeling fine. 1.3 pounds of pure THC is a lot of bud.
Phytokind, what sort of work do you do? You're such a botanical/chemical expert, and I've always wondered.
THC is simply not toxic enough to cause harm...which is why it's impossible to overdose. Who the hell would want to try to consume enough pure chemical just to see if they could die from it? I'd much rather sit back and know that I could never smoke enough to kill me :)
