WHATS THE AVERAGE YEILD YOU WILL GET IN ONZS OFF 1 HEALTHY GROW PLANT(AFGANN) ITS ABOUT 3FT IN HIGHT I NO PPL SAY YOU CAN NEVER SAY BUT JUST A RUFF GESS
.4g-1g per watt of the light you use (HPS) is standard from what I hear 1g being great A++
if this is your 1st grow be happy with whatever you harvest, yield greatly depends not so much the plant but how the grower took care of the garden
The real formula is 0.5g/ each 30 days/ per watt of light in the flower room.
So if you flower under a 400w HPS for 8 weeks (standard) you are going to try to max out at 200g/month.
This is absolutely great.
But you have to optimize your light. If it is only 1 plant, you are going to want to leave it in veg for a while and train it to be wide and really catch ALL that light.
If it is 20 plants, you can cram them together when they are still small under the light.
You might reasonably expect the same yield from either setup!
For your first grow, 0.1g/30d/watt is sort of to be expected. And you will learn to improve it over time.
is this formula based on fresh weight or weight when its been dried for a while?
it would be good to know we are all using the same criteria so's we can have a benchmark :)
Dry weight.
And dry weight is approximately 80% of wet weight.
in my experience, my dried weight is maybe 40% or so, of fresh, but I manicure my buds very neatly before drying, and different strain, maybe that's why ... :smokin:
So if I have a 400watt HPS for flower and I add a 400watt MH will that double my yield? Or a little less than since its MH? Is it definitely worth it?
You mean you LOSE 80 percent of the weight when drying. Heh. I wish my dry weights were 80 percent of my wet weights! ;)
And yes, if you add a second light, even though it's MH, you should get much more yield. Probably not double, but likely not far from it. As to whether it's worth it or not, that's a question only you can answer. Is more yield worth the extra expense to you? I grow more than I can use with one 400 watt light, personally, but then again, I don't sell, and don't want to be in that 'line of work'. If you sell, then it's almost certainly worth doing anything you can to increase your yield. If it's for personal use, then you'd have to smoke like a pot-starved hippy who's been trapped on an island without weed for 5 years to smoke all that one 400 watt light can produce. Well, okay, maybe not that much, but still! ;)
Ugh, that's what I meant...Quote:

By 'wet weight' I mean when you first take it down, before trimming... then trim, then by the time it's dry and you trim off the last scraggly bits that make the buds 'ugly' you get 20% remaining...
sorry for not proofreading, :o
