Basic Hydroponic Pot

A good way to begin growing in a soilless medium is with a single ( or multiple ) hydroponic pot. The growing medium can be sand, cinders, small gravel, vermiculite, perlite or scoria. The medium usually should have a cariety of particle size, about 80% (by wieght) approximately 1/8th inch in diameter and the remainder less, to permit good aeration.

Potting proedure

1. Place large stones or broken pieces of crockery in bottom of pot
2. Fill the pot with hydroponic aggregate and water thoroughly ( your tap water should be tested to make certain it is correct for hydroponic use-improper salt content and other components can be damaging to the plants when applied directly to the roots rather than filterd through soil )
3. Seed or plant in the pot same as in soil
4. Add Nutes ( Small amount and gradually greater as plant matures)
