Nails found in buds...?

hi,

I was over at an old friends last night puffing some buds, and he had just purchased a QP. I asked to see the buds he bought, so he chucks me the bag, and he hadn't weighed it yet, so I give it back to him to weigh it. He weighs it, it's all good, but as I'm looking at a few buds, his scale was still there, so I turned it on just to see the weight of some of the buds. I picked up 2 of the almost same size buds, weighed one, it weighed a nice 4.2grams, the other one, a whopping 13.7grams!! I was like, what the fucking hell.

He was in the bathroom and i called him to look, he was also puzzled. So I break open the buds a bit, and here, inserted right in the middle of the bud,a 2inch long headless nail. I wiegh the nail, and it was about 8grams! He ended up tearing more buds apart and in the end, he found a total of 5 nails, at about 20grams of weight.

So overall, the poor guy got only 92grams in reefer and 20grams in nails. :p That's so hardcore, oh, and he's not really a friend anymore. Just a guy I knew from way back when that I ran into and offered me some smoke, so it's okay that I laugh...right. ;)

Anyone ever hear of this before? Seems to me like a good way to show more weight than there actually is.

thats fucked up man, wouldnt you be able to eyeball it and see that it looks pretty short though? i never even thought about that, its pretty smart though, but like buddah said theyre gonna regret it when they do it to the wrong folks

It can be hard to tell if 4 ounces of weed is short or not. It's a large amount to begin with I guess.

I don't know how this guy knew his source or nothing, but I've never pulled a small nail out of buds before. It was just weird.

that's an old trick along with adding seeds to gain weight...spraying water is another scam unsrcupulous dealers will pull on unsuspecting people.

and just an FYI...there are 113.5 grams in a quarter and 454 grams in a lb. don't let the dealer screw you by multiplying 28...it must be done by dividing 454 by 4 for a quarter. it may not sound like much but it adds up...
