Is it ok to interrupt darkness?

I'm still in the veg stage, but I was wondering if going into the grow room while the lights are off will stress them out and make them go hermie? I didn't get a single seed from my female plants in the past, but now I was giving my light a break. Instead of 24hrs on during veg, I'm turning it off for a couple of hours a day. Is it ok to intterupt during these couple of hours of darkness in veg stage? Thanks

if ur in veg, there is no problem to give some darkness. After the 3rd week i turned mine at 18/6.

In case you didn't know it, it's also ok to give them some darkness during flowering :) About 12 hours worth of it :)

is ur plant in veg or flower?? i think that was the main idea of his comment..
cuz if its in veg yeah its fine .. but in flower you can turn ur plant hermie on ya so be careful...

if by interrupt u mean some light comming from the hall when u open the door, or a small light that my be on the fan, i dont think it wil coz u problems. There should be no REAL light comming in. Like u deside to switch on ur hps to see how ur plants doing coz u cant sleep LOL or light comming from a window in the morning

Yes, I was wondering if light leak would be a problem during veg?

and about that 12-hour thing, i think i heard it before, but its not good, look what it did to my plant

Yes you can interupt darkness for a very short period of time.....5 minutes or less......green incandesants work...but dont put the light to close because lumens will stop the production of the chemical the plant uses to induce flowering....my suggestion is dont mess with the plants till its wake up time. If you arent home during awake time I suggest making day time when your home. What ever it takes
