mmmm i havent had one in soo long. they are quite awesome from what i remember, i should tell my mom to pick some up, thanks for reminding me of such an amazing toasted product!
I actually HATE english muffins. I don't know why, they just don't please my taste buds lol.
i like topping them with chunky penutbutter
Funny, but I was thinking about an English muffin earlier. I was imagining it toasted and buttered with a nice piece of ham, a nicely poached egg and some hollandaise sauce atop it.
totally agree! but i love bagels :D mmmmmmmmmQuote:

id just like to remind you this thread is about english muffins and not bagels :P.
since we are on the subject though, bagels with cream cheese and smoked salmon are the bomb
Where do you get your bagels? Are they the "real thing"? They have to be boiled in water.
I can't eat them anymore due to a gluten intolerance (celiac disease), but the ones that I grew up with in Brooklyn are the best.
When I was a kid they were 7 cents each, and if you didn't eat them within an hour after baking they turned rock-hard. You can still get them like this, in Brooklyn and select other bakeries in NYC, but they cost about 9 times as much today as they did 45 years ago.
bagels are great too. i just havent had an english muffin in so long they were niice.
