ok.. heres whats up ive started some seedlings under some flouros for outdoors this year.. as i was checking on them i notice some sort of webbing between the leaves and around them as well there is some patches on some leaves that look like theyve been chewed through what am i dealing with here? pls someone give some advise ive just gotten a hold of some good strains and id hate to lose them this early...ill post some pics soon
Well you could get lady bugs, or make sure your humidity isnt too high or get some neem oil and spray that on your leaves. I hear all 3 of those things can help prevent pests. Also you might wanna clean down your walls and wash them with water and bleach and put some type of plastic over your walls, ceiling and floor to prevent mold and other pestering problems.
Webbing between the leaves is BAD. It's a sign of severe mite infestation.
Put your plants in the shower. Wash them off gently with a little soapy water at about 80 degrees.
Let them dry off.
Start a neem spray regimen like, yesterday. Follow the directions on the bottle. Use the finest mist possible and spritz 2x/day.
Bleach other things in your grow room, for example if you keep your plants in trays, take them out and clean the trays really well. Wipe down the outsides of the pots too, and the bottoms.
Sounds like you have a spider mite problem. They sell stuff to get rid of those little bastards at target, walmart, ect.. I use "Eliminator" Home Pest Insect Control spray. Good for all sorts of insects. Only $2.50 at Walmart.
i have exactly the same thing, little nibblings on the leaves here and there, a bit of web sparkling in the sunlight in places which i promptly break. i think my plant is too small for any pest control spreys though
you also need to find the source. seedlings getting hit with mites is rare and usually from a houseplant...
Kill all house plants the marijuana MUST live.
k thnx guys ill go out today and get some neem oil.. the thing is it doesnt realy look like its effecting the plants at all they still look very healthy is there a chance for them? k now to go waste all my house plants.. thanks everyone
Yes they will survive if you treat them NOW and you can neem the house plants to. In fact, if you have any house plants at all you have to treat them too or the problem will come back
mites will eventually take a toll on the plant they eat the underside of leaves sucking out all its life........
