Not at all. Potting soil is less than 5 bucks for christ sake...
lol sorry bro some things you just gotta fork up the cash for... soil is very important to the outcome of your grow... get stingy and it will result in unhealthy plants.. good luck!!
it may, river beds, and creeks have settlements that rest on the bottom. It just depends on where you got it, and how much water runs through over a given time.
You have to ask your self do you think your plants are gonna be able to grow roots through some mud thats gonna turn to hard dirt.
Yeah... all the water running through it on a river bottom leaches all the good shit right out and you're left with dense, mucky, oxygen-poor DIRT.Quote:

not to mention contaminents, toxic substances, and insect eggs, etc .... buy the best soil you can find ... Fox Farms Ocean Forest is very good, (I add about 30% coarse washed sand to mine) ... :smokin:
haha this wasnt a serious operation i just took some bag seeds and wonder what would happen if i put it in some dirt. shits growin.
weed will grow almost anywhere lol
how long it lasts or how well it does is a nother story ;)
This is a growing Q...sort of, and should be moved to basic growing, but the lounge is for us growers to entertain ourselves, and this thread made me lmao, so I'm leaving it...good advice you guys...10lb bag plain old good potting soil 1.99 ay the dollar general...peace don't forget the perlite and peat moss...
