Everytime I take my plants out to water, there would be a couple these little black flies that come flying up when I shake or move the plants. I was wondering what they are and if they're any harm to my plants?

Sounds like thrips. They breed in the dirt and suck juices out of your plants. A bad infestation can wreck your crop.
You can kill them organically by shaking a little diatomaceous earth over the surface of the soil. It doesn't take too much, either.
What are diatomaceous earth and where can I get some?
I don't think its that bad because I only see a couple.. Like one or two everytime I take the plants out to water.
i have a few bugs too; I think it's from the commercial soil I bought. future soil can be baked in the oven to kill eggs and sterilize it.
if you get a clove of garlic and crush it up in a bag and fillter it with water u will get garlic water and if u spray this on the plants it will stop insects from going to your plants
