Any body using a budbox, 400HPS and no heat?

Hi guys,

Anybody using one of these http://www.global-hydro.net/index.htm with a 400W HPS and managing to get the heat away with the doors closed? At present I'm not using any fans and thought I may be able to keep the doors open but didn't realise how much light a 400W gives out. I could leave the doors open but then the room is lit up and I got a bit paranoid about the neighbours see a bright light coming from the room. Will putting a suitable extraction fan in do the job, the tent is 1M x 1M x 1.8M high. Can I vent into the same room if I keep the door to the room open, which isn't a problem? I would also be putting a fan inside the ten to move air around. Lastly, how much noise do these extraction fan make?
Any advice would be appreciated.

Yeah you definitely need a good exhaust fan, and you can get ones that are pretty quiet. Also, you might want to look at getting an air cooled enclosed reflector or even a cool tube for your light since you're in such a small space. That would solve your heat issue guranteed. Get a small oscilating fan for inside the room too, the plants need air moving past the leaves and the breeze will help strenghten up the stems.

You mentioned having neighbors too, so you might want to look at getting a carbon filter for you exhaust fan (or making your own, use the search at top to find out how) to eliminate the odors. Hope that helps man, if not just ask
