Plants seen in front yard

Me and my family where driving to campground in canada ( i live in CT so its a drive) i dunno if i was in canada or not but on the way we took a backroad and there was this big grey house that had about 3 HUGE MJ plants growing on the side of his house..i was like..wow..that guys gonna get busted some day..but yeah. they where about 5 feet tall
