August the 22nd is looming...

Some of you may be asking 'what has August 22nd got to do with anything?' Well, unless youve been living under a rock for the past month, then youll surely know that Mr. Ahmadinejad (President of Iran) has told the U.N that he will give them an answer concerning the enrichment of unranium on the 22nd of August. Why such a precise date? According to the President of the Syrian Reform Party...


He asserts that the Supreme National Security Council of Iran chose the August 22 date â??for a very precise reason. August 21, 2006 (Rajab 27, 1427) is known in the Islamic calendar as the Night of the Siraâ??a and Miiraâ??aj, the night Prophet Mohammed (saas) ascended to heaven from the Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem on a Bourak (Half animal, half man), while a great light lit-up the night sky, and visited Heaven and Hell also Beit al-Saada and Beit al-Shaqaa (House of Happiness and House of Misery) and then descended back to Mecca.â?¦â?�

The Night Journey, or Miraj, is central to Islamâ??s claim to Jerusalem as an Islamic holy city. According to Islamic tradition, Muhammad was carried on a Buraq, a miraculous horse with a human head, from Mecca to Jerusalem, where he ascended into heaven and met the other prophets. The only thing the Qurâ??an has to say about it is this: â??Glory to (Allah) Who did take His servant for a Journey by night from the Sacred Mosque to the farthest Mosque, whose precincts We did bless, in order that We might show him some of Our Signs: for He is the One Who heareth and seeth (all things)â?� (17:1). There is no identification of the â??farthest Mosqueâ?� with any mosque in Jerusalem in this, but the Hadith is very clear on the identification of its location with Jerusalem.

The traditions say that Muhammad and the Buraq, along with the angel Gabriel, went to the Temple Mount, and from there to heaven itself, where Muhammad encountered various prophets. In the sixth heaven was Moses, occasioning a dig at the Jews. â??When I left him,â?� Muhammad says, â??he wept. Someone asked him, â??What makes you weep?â?? Moses said, â??I weep because after me there has been sent (Muhammad as a Prophet) a young man, whose followers will enter Paradise in greater numbers than my followers.â??â?�

Evidently, however, Muhammadâ??s stories of his journey were not altogether convincing: even some of the Muslims abandoned their faith and challenged Muhammadâ??s most faithful follower, Abu Bakr, to do the same. Abu Bakr was contemptuous: â??If he says so then it is true. And what is so surprising in that? He tells me that communications from God from heaven to earth come to him in an hour of a day or night and I believe him, and that is more extraordinary than that at which you boggle!â?� The world has continued to witness such unshakeable devotion from Muslims to this day.

Did Muhammad really go anywhere? According to his favorite wife, Aisha, he did not: â??The apostleâ??s body remained where it was but God removed his spirit by night.â?� Nevertheless, the Night Journey has become firmly embedded in the Islamic consciousness, such that Muslims today celebrate it as one of the central events of Muhammadâ??s life. And now, according to Ghadry, Ahmadinejad is planning an illumination of the night sky over Jerusalem to rival the one that greeted the Prophet of Islam on his journey. What the Iranian President, he says, is â??promising the world by August 22 is the light in the sky over the Aqsa Mosque that took place the night before. That is his answer to the package of incentives the international community offered Iran on June 6.â?�

Certainly a nuclear attack on Jerusalem or even an all-out conventional assault against Israel by Iran would be consistent with Ahmadinejadâ??s oft-repeated denials of Israelâ??s right to exist and recent predictions that its demise was at hand. He hinted at the use of nuclear weapons in his phrasing when he said that Israel â??pushed the button of its own destructionâ?� by finally retaliating against Hizballahâ??s relentless rocket barrage from south Lebanon.

You shouldn't expect anything less from Iran.

They aren't going to give up their "right" to nuclear enrichment. The question is what the international response is. The only real deterrent to Iran is sadly to say war. Sanctions and condemnation won't bother them.

Muḥammad al-Mahdī (born 868) (Arabic: محمد المهدى‎ ​) is the twelfth and final Shi'a Imam. He is the person believed by Shi'as to be the Mahdi; a figure considered by both Sunnis and Shias to be the ultimate saviour of humankind. Shi'as and Sunnis differ on the identity of the Mahdi, with Shi'as believing that he was born in 868 and has been hidden by God (referred to as occultation) to later emerge to fulfill his mission. Sunnis either believe that he is yet to be born, or that he was born recently and has yet to emerge. Whatever the case, both groups believe that he will bring absolute peace and justice throughout the world by establishing Islam as the global religion. As such, the personality and account of Muhammad al-Mahdi in this article is one that is believed only by Shi'as. And Ahmadinejad thinks that he is the one to bring about the awakening of this 'Twelfth Imam'. Hell, some Extremists even think he is the Twelfth Imam!

Of course, Ahmadinejad could just be saying that he will 'give an answer on the 22nd' because Iran has its own calendar, and the 22nd August just happens to be the end of the month, Mordad. Could be a coincidence, or some bad shit could be going down on the 22nd. Either way, get stoned and just go with the flow :)

Nope, Israel gets saved at the last minute by God.

Supposedly, Iran has got another ten years to go until it has uranium that is 'pure' enough to use as a nuclear weapon. So, whats going to happen is either
1. A big terrorist attack happens, and miraculously the passport/some form of ID is left intact, which is then traced back to an operative in Iran.
2. Iran purchases a dirty bomb/chemical bomb/nuclear bomb from another country (Pakistan? Russia?), then launches it on Israel, giving America a pretext to invade Iran. They will also invade Syria, Lebanon, and Pakistan, moving into Russia in the later stages because of backhand deals with Iran. Iran will NOT have dealt with a Pakistani/Russian agent, but actually an undercover CIA/Pentagon agent following Bush's orders. Blair will probably also have some say in this.
Im guessing that it will be the second one.
Bush WANTS to go to war with Iran. He wants complete control of the Middle East, Europe, and Asia. Africa wont be a problem, he will just waltz right in there, get rid of the guerilla groups and will be welcomed with open arms. Once thats done, the survivors of the war will be put in concentration camps and made to work for the NWO... or die.

Atty. Gen. John Ashcroft's announced desire for camps for U.S. citizens he
deems to be "enemy combatants" has moved him from merely being a political
embarrassment to being a constitutional menace.

Ashcroft's plan, disclosed last week but little publicized, would allow him
to order the indefinite incarceration of U.S. citizens and summarily strip
them of their constitutional rights and access to the courts by declaring
them enemy combatants.



And just what does America consider an 'enemy combatant'? Well, according to the F.B.I youve got the usuals... people who have WMDs, skinheads and the KKK. But the list goes on to include:

Defenders of the U.S Constitution
People of Christian identity
Fictitious/no drivers license/number plates
If you refuse to identify yourself
Making numerous references to the U.S Constitution (they really do hate that thing, dont they?)
Attempting to 'police the police'
If you are an Animal Rights supporter
Doomsday/cult groups
Rebels
Lone individuals
