making hash oil

yeah my freinds dad made hash oil with a pvc pipe and lighter fluid. The pvc pipe looks just like a pipe bomb with two holes on each end. He filled up the pvc with some trim from good buds. He stuck the lighter fluid in one end then like sprayed it in and when it comes out the other side he put it in a cup. Then he set the cup with the shit in it in a bowl of warm water and the lighter fluid will just like boil away leaving the hash. That shit was amazing i got stoned as fuck off it. Has anyone ever heard of this?

Yup, I've done it half a dozen times. He must have used Butane for this method. That's the method I use, using Butane.

It's a very common way to make oil. As nice as it would be to discover this, it's nothing new.
