Who here knows what G-13 is supposed to look like?

Today I ventured to the great city of San Francisco to look at some clones from New Remedies on Mission and Duboce. If any medical cannabis patients are looking for clones in the Bay Area, check this club out first, and then C.A.R.E. in Oakland. You can even call New Remedies and they will tell you what clones they have on stock before driving out to see, unheard of in all of the other clubs I've been to. Anyways, I called and they said that they had Lavender, NYC Diesel, Romulan, Sensi Star, and a bunch others for 7-20 a clone, so I was there in like an hour. They were all good, but a small plant in the corner caught my attention. It turned out to be a G-13 plant about a foot tall, well developed, with the unique characteristic of having a wide, 5-7 blade indica leaf on the same plant with a thin, 9 blade sativa leaf. I swooped on it quickly @ $35, with it being one of two left. It already has a strong scent to it that I oh so love and it looks so lush and green.

Can anyone tell me if I got a fake? I heard rumors that G-13 is a rumor itself and that if it ever existed, it doesn't exist anymore and anyone selling G-13 nowadays is just bullshit. It seems like a good plant regardless, but I would hate to pass on the bullshit myself. Has anyone grown G-13 before and would you guys have any tips? Thanx.

buy Jason Kings, CannaBible. Doesn't look like G13 to me though.

take any description of "G-13" with a big grain of salt ... there is no proof it ever existed, it is more of an Urban Legend, it's supposedly the result of the U.S. Government's Marijuana research facility in Mississippi, and quite a few years ago ... supposedly smuggled out of the farm, and made its way into the world ... nice story, and possibly true, but we will never really know for sure .... :smokin:

i agree....i cant see how a government can grow a "super" weed in a relativly short time scale compared to the entire world of illegal cannabis breeders who have been selectivley inbreeding and crossing the best strains for what must be about 50 years now.

you can buy g13 from some seed banks and its probably good, but its nothing more than cross breeding of known strains, given the g13 name because they know its gonna sell on the name alone.

yea i dont belive there ever really was a g13 but they might of just made a strain and called it g13... could be couinsedence(dunno how to spell sorry)

All I know is I have a G13 cross. From what most clubs and people have told me, there was a G13 but it wasnt government or anything of that nature, however it either doesnt exist anymore or is rare and everything you see is a cross.

No clue on whether that is true. My G13 has very very wide indica leafs, with a fat stem and a short stature. Loves LST. This picture is a week ago. In a day or 2 it will have doubled in size. I can only imagine how large it will get in 8 weeks.

It seems to be growing nicely. Whether its a G-13 or not, It looks like its gonna be some good shit. I'm gonna clone it soon so I can get me some buds sometime around the holidays.
