I took my pre-employment urine screening on Thursday. The test was administered by the lab at my local hospital.
Can anyone tell me how long the results should take?
Today is Tuesday, and I'm assuming no news is good news... but I can't help but wonder.... :confused: :confused: :confused:
I'm also waiting on results on a 50ng test that I took Friday. I've been clean 60+ days. Where I live, it takes Quest about a day to turn test results around. Your new employer probably doesn't consider checking the results of your test a priority. The fax could have been lost, the lab could have had a backup, etc.
No news is good news. You will hear shortly. In the meantime, don't smoke until you've heard, and until you are absolutely sure that this company doesn't do randoms.
I'm confident that things will go well with me, however, I don't plan to smoke again for the next three months until I'm off probation. I've gone this long, I can wait longer.
As for yourself, I'd wait until you get that first paycheck, and establish trust and confidence in your work on your new gig, before you toke up again.
I've read a lot of horror stories when jobs call new employees in before they've reported the results of their dt's, then slip another test on them the first few weeks on the job. Some places want to catch you.
