Ask yourself this, are you REALLY interested in horticulture?
Or is it just the cultivation of cannabis you're truly into??
Would you really want to spend your whole day learning how to properly grow a certain subgenus of squash??

Probably decent money in botanically-oriented pharmacology. Probably interesting work too, if you're into that. But I suspect you need a PhD.

If you're interested in hydroponics of cannabis growing, than take that up as a personal hobby. You can learn so much reading a learning on your own, and if cannabis is what you're after, I suggest not going to college for it because cannabis is not something you will learn.
I went horticulture school here at the college. All I needed to get in was a HS diploma or equiv.. It was just a one year course, at first, about the basics of plant growth, and life. I learned about shrubs, tress, flowers, veggies/fruits, everything! I now grow my own tomatos and huge strawberry patch every year, as a hobby, but I'd like to have my own greenhouse someday specializing in fruits and veggies.
The course that I did take, I can now go onto several other horticulture courses that focus on main things, instead of various things. I my case, producing my own food from the ground up.
Plus, learning on my own how to grow my own ganja has certainly helped too.
Study the growths of tomato plants. They are alomost indentical in growth patterns of cannabis.
Good luck.

Hey Chisme there is even an article in Skunk Mag last month on this exact subject. Pick a career in the Cannabiz or something like that.

They're not offered at every college and I had to live in another city to go to it because it wasn't offered locally.
It's called Horticulture. Don't look for "gardening" as you might come up empty handed.
