Speaking of experts...

Has anyone ever tried taking a container grown plant....one thats already substantially grown...and just, laid it down?

I've a fairly tall, couple of plants here...I'm moving them outside...I gave them a big fat 90° bend a bit more than half-way up their length so they'd continue to grow in the now, way too confined of a space closet they'd been in.

So, if I lay them down with the bend aimed skywards...am I being a foxy outdoor grower...or more of a dumbass with an unproven idea?

I'm thinking of 1st off, spraying an area damn good with a pesticide...putting down a sheet of plywood or some sort of tarp/visqueen. And then just...laying the plants down horizontially, effectively hiding them behind things growing around the place.

like LSTing? if it is that then yes tis is good but i would do it at a younger age so that the stem doesn't break,

The stems are bigger than my thumb...I've no doubt that they'd be able to support their bud burdened weight.

You can keep the pot upright but still just bend the stock over...it's just another way to do LST style of growing. It will work just fine as long as the roots are covered.

Laying the pot on it's side will keep to much moistrue in side and not allow enough drain to run off don't you think? Your drain holes are at the bottom?

Well yeah Zan...I'd of course drill new drain holes...I'm thinking though I'm going to pass on the idea and go with keeping them vertical...too damn big to just lay down and not be noticed by a casual observer.

Not enough cover and concealment where theres room to do it anyways, and not enough room where there is cover.
